Privacy policy

Last updated 13 October 2026

Plan to Sell (plantosell.com.au) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Without any details: you can use the guide, checklist and articles without giving us anything. Your answers and checklist ticks are saved only in your own browser.
  • If you ask us to email the checklist: your email address, the answers you gave (property type, suburb, timeframe, rooms, condition, priorities and, only if you chose to share it, your own price expectation) and where you found us.
  • If you ask for an agent callback: your phone number, plus a record of the permission you gave and when.
  • If you ask for the Seller Pack: your email address and, optionally, your first name.

How we use it

  • To send what you asked for (the checklist or Seller Pack).
  • Only if you ticked the callback box: to introduce you to one agent from our network, who may phone you once about selling.
  • We do not sell your information, add you to marketing lists or send newsletters.

Who we share it with

  • One agent only, and only with your callback permission. We share your name if given, phone, email, suburb, property type and timeframe.
  • Service providers who host our website, database and email delivery, under confidentiality obligations. Some may store data outside Australia.
  • Where required by law.

If we receive a referral fee from an agent we introduce, we'll tell you before the introduction.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after your last contact with us, then delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Security

Your details are stored in a secured database that only authorised team members can access after signing in.

Your choices: access, correction, deletion and withdrawing permission

You can ask us to send you a copy of your details, correct them, delete them, or withdraw callback permission at any time. We'll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, use the form above and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
